Bump & Jackpot (2026)
Double Bill Theatre Production / New Writing

Bump & Jackpot is a double bill of new plays written by Kate McCloud, presented by Peripeteia Theatre. Premiering in March 2026, the evening brings together two distinct yet thematically resonant works that explore identity, desire, power, and the narratives we inherit about ourselves and others.

Bump follows three men waiting in a stark train station for a journey that promises to irrevocably change their lives. As time stretches and anticipation builds, conversation drifts between the banal and the profound, revealing competing ideas of masculinity, vulnerability, and fear of the unknown. The play interrogates how men perform, resist, and redefine masculinity when faced with uncertainty and transition.

Jackpot is a sharp, darkly comic one-woman show centred on Charlotte, a woman seemingly cushioned by comfort and inherited privilege. On a sweltering day on London’s Southbank, a single violent encounter ruptures her carefully ordered life, propelling her into a world of obsession, desire, and latent brutality. The piece explores complacency, entitlement, and the unsettling thrill of disruption.

As co-producer, I am working alongside Peripeteia Theatre’s Adam Cachia, to support the development and delivery of the production. My role includes collaborative planning, production coordination, scheduling, venue liaison, marketing support, and live delivery. This project reflects my ongoing commitment to producing bold new writing and supporting theatre that interrogates contemporary social themes with clarity, risk, and theatrical ambition.
