Soft Serve (2025)
Pride Event / Collaborative Arts Gathering / In collaboration with Hadrian’s Lover

Soft Serve was created as an alternative to the high-energy party culture often associated with Pride programming. Designed to be intimate, gentle, and art-focused, the event offered a slower, more mindful space for connection, creativity, and conversation, centring care, reflection, and community during Pride.

Developed in collaboration with Hadrian’s Lover, a Manchester-based queer collective, Soft Serve invited attendees to engage in hands-on, participatory activities including candle painting and letter writing. These craft-based practices were chosen to encourage presence, one-to-one conversation, and quiet reflection, allowing participants to connect with themselves and each other in meaningful ways.

As producer, I oversaw event design, collaborative development, programming, logistics, venue coordination, and audience experience. The event reflects my commitment to producing values-led work that prioritises access, softness, and intentionality, and demonstrates my ability to create thoughtful, artist-led live experiences that foster genuine connection within LGBTQ+ communities.
